Please understand that our process does not operate on a first-come basis. Our goal is to match each pet to the best family for that pet. Because all our workers are volunteers with jobs and other responsibilities, we cannot respond to every application we receive. We follow up on the best and most complete applications. Christy was taken to a vet's after being dumped out on busy corner at the age of 8 weeks. Christy had badly burned feet. She is the most loving and frisky lap cat. She has spent her life in a cage since she was 8 weeks old until recently being rescued from a collector. Christy is now running the house and playing like a cat should. She was born 5/7/2002. Christy would be a GREAT "Only" cat or adopted into a home with a dog. Strangely, she does not really care for the company of other kitties but she has walked right up to a dog and licked its face so we are assuming she likes dogs. Christy absolutely LOVES people but does not tolerate small children. When around small children she doesn't want them touching her and will slap them continuously.
